We waited all afternoon hoping to find the Gulf Stream but just kept getting current against us keeping us at 10 knots. Finally at 8pm we found it and hopped on in and have been doing between 12-15 knots over the ground since then. It was a bit of a bumpy ride during the night but worth it to be knocking off the miles that quickly. The morning started well when at 7.30am both fishing lines took off. It took us quite a while to get them in but we were rewarded with a 42 lb and 65 lb Yellowfin tuna. It also took a long time to fillet them. Now Penny is busy making us some sushi to go with the Wahoo ceviche for lunch.
Today is also the first time I have broken 300 nm from midday to midday. We are also measuring from 8pm last night until 8pm tonight which should be a very fast 24 hours.
