As you can probably see from the tracking program Timoneer has left from

Tenerife in the Canary Islands. We had both Christmas and New Years there

which was very nice and it also gave us a good chance to give the boat a

really good clean up after the months in the boat yard in Holland. Also took

care of maintenance and some of the crew went home for Christmas.

We left at 1400hrs yesterday and have had flat calm conditions ever since.

Our noon postion was 26:05N and 19:56W with 250 miles covered since

departure and 2,360 miles to go to Barbados, our first stop. As I type this

a small breeze has kicked in from the North West so we have rolled out the

headsail and still making 12 knots with reduced engine.

The fishing lines are out but no action so far. All is well on board and it

is nice to be back in warm blue water again.
